Using a computer generated, mapping program and capable to place metes and bounds descriptions as well as township and range, all layered over a seamless USGS map with elevation shading. Example maps are above. The files are quite large and have been downsized somewhat with some loss of clarity.

The applications of mapping are many, and in the past customers have included appraisers, attorneys, accountants, biologists, hydrologists, land owners, land buyers, government agencies and others to name a few. The final product may be “project specific,” to meet the customer’s needs. A legal description, pastures, water systems, water right field descriptions, wells, windmills, roads and improvements are some types of information commonly requested. On occasion maps have been used as gifts to family and friends who own ranch property. It is important to remember it is a map, and fence lines may or may not be on the property boundary as defined in a legal description.

My rates are reasonable and often need not travel to complete a contract with clear instructions and a current legal description.

I am a native of New Zealand and was raised on an extensive sheep and cattle property in the central North Island. The property has been in the family for a little more than 100 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture majoring in Rural Valuation from Massey University in New Zealand and worked in the rural lending department for the Bank of New Zealand. I am married with two boys and live on the Philmont Scout Ranch south of Cimarron, NM.
